Well, Steve said part III would be same lighting for all cameras. The basic scene was specifically set up to challenge the cameras. There's the blown out window, no light near the door, saturated and...
I just did the same thing with a Tascam DR-40 (4 track). I was able to mount it to my EPIC via 1/4" bolt on a Wooden Nickel cheese plate handle and still do handheld work with a boom plugged in.

Very helpful tutorial - thanks. I couldn't get anything working easily without this.
I keep getting mismatched frame rate warnings despite changing both playback and editing preferences to 23.976...
I just downloaded the latest updates from Adobe and Blackmagic and have the 1080P preset working. I have to scale clips to 50% to view full frame. It's very easy to copy the "motion" video effect and...

Just bought an AL Canon Mount. Get 'em while they are hot.
Is that verified somewhere by RED? They have had a history of taking reservations at live events.
Is this entire thread really about ONE guy?
I don't see much price gouging going on. People are giving away their RED ONE accessories for a fraction of what they paid. Are they Saints? It's just...
Gotta turn off the sharpening to see what's really going on with the C300. That may impact moire' results. It does make the C300 "pop" in side by side tests. You may want to try a few tests with no...
Yeah, it's starting to look like a centipede.
If the Pro i/o doubled as a module adapter that would save some space. A V-mount battery attachment on there would be nice too. And +1 on audio gain...
Well if they weren't new then they could just be used up. I've used off brands that were awesome when new. All batteries - even REDs get old and don't hold a charge at some point.
With all the cameras coming out low light worship ad nauseam...
This is M sensor.
The Rep - Alive (Rock Version - Some disturbing imagery and it's Christian?! 1080P is an option)...
I need a 12" Arri standard Arri dovetail for O'Conner 2575 like ET or x (safety catches).
Thanks!
Joel
And Im pretty sure they'll ship with Stage 2! At least that was the plan. I'm waiting for the aluminum mount. I hope they ramp up production. It's a no brainer accessory for everyone at $500.
I work with multiple sequences open as tabs almost all the time. Until there's a similar way to do that in FCPX it's a deal breaker.
From what I saw, for really small, simple projects FCPX seemed...
A lot of people want the Birger. Right now it's the only way I shoot the camera. If the camera sells without the Birger then I'll offer it.
I've thought for a while the a great use of 4K+ would be if we had a playback format that allowed for zooming. So 5K capture. View it in 1080P (or 4k) and be able to zoom in on demand. That would be...
I'd check in RAW viewing mode with both cameras to be sure the color space isn't altering anything.
The best course of action is to run every camera through an exposure range test and look at the...
Inevitable? That's pretty optimistic - lol.
There are shareware guys offering little apps for free for 14 days and you can buy it for $29 after that. I understand THAT. But what's BlackMagic...
Do you have any idea what BlackMagic's strategy is here? Are they worried about Adobe and Iridas? Do they think free software will sell more conversion cards? I can't figure it out. It's really...
The essence of Jake's position is in almost all cases money is coming from "somewhere" that compliments the free product. I'm sure we can dig for further examples of the rich kid genius that made...
I think you're right in regards to consumer and lower end pro video specifically. AVID has Pro Tools though. That combo is going to keep AVID safe with a bunch of higher end users.
Adobe's deal...
That's frightening. Should be an easy test for EPICers to replicate at home right now. Wonder how common this is?
RED SSD is a profit center like P2 is for Panasonic and SxS Sony. It just is what it is.
The idea that RED would have to "protect" users buying this level of camera while Canon somehow manages to...
