Thanks for clarifying Phil. Yeah, it's a real shame, especially as I wouldn't have doubted that the 16/19/25/35/50/85mm would have performed well in RF mount on a Komodo. Hopefully Ryan is able to...

Don't take this the wrong way, because I'm stoked that there's so much content to check out from this camera... But real-talk: what is motivating you to share this much footage for a non-Red camera...

In a heartbreaking but not unexpected announcement last night, lens manufacturer Veydra let the community know that they are closing their doors. Ryan and the team did tremendous work putting these...

My favourite little travel recorder. I’m a fully Zaxcom shop at this point; they don’t always nail the fit and finish but they’re sure pushing boundaries with the feature set.

I don’t think it’s likely for this body, but something that I have noticed with more than a few of RED’s custom bodies is that they’ve integrated Zaxcom hardware for wireless audio and timecode....

Fingers crossed it's both, but as long as your NLE supports it LTC works just as well on an audio track! I do it in Silverstack/Resolve all the time.

Confirming: We can't order this as Canadians? Would love to get Gemini 1x1 Kit #1.

[Edit] Took a closer look at the OP and it looks so. Bummer! Enjoy your Geminis though!

Other than the gearing not all being at 0.8 pitch, what about the lens doesn't lend itself to cinematic applications? Used it on several productions and it did exactly what our DP wanted it to.

Everything about the new Mac Pro has me interested. The only thing that's kind of weird at this point is the overall lack of support for ProRes RAW from the industry. Other than the DJI Inspire, does...

Where’s the mystery? Like Andree said, both the original and new BMPCCs’ specs are listed on BMD’s website. The original BMPCC has a 12.48mm wide sensor and the 4KPCC has an 18.99mm wide sensor.

I also can't imagine a world where ProRes RAW isn't supported broadly in post-production. Might take a while for them to roll the SDK out to third party developers, but something tells me that's more...

I think it is pretty much impossible to deny that RED's approach is yielding really terrific results. 8K is great, and they've set up the ecosystem in a way that most everyone can handle it, so you...

Not if you know how to expose it. Just meter for a higher ISO give your footage more room in the highlights like you would with a RED.
