BMD recommends using the new CUDA driver 5.0.36
I'm using that in my MacPro 10.8.2 no issues so far.

OSX 10.7.x was a pretty solid platform for me. As driver version/OSX updates/CS6 updated happened performance envelopes shifted, but I never had a white screen on playback. You mihgt need to do a...
Funny. There doesn't seem to be any consistent theme to these problems, other than generically related to OSX10.8.2 & Premiere 6.02.
I just installed a new SSD system drive in my 2009 MP:...
Yes. CUDA driver will utilize the M650 and ignore the Intel card
I completely agree and have a base configuration for my rig that jumps well between sticks and HH. I'm curious in your light rip 'n run rig, what are you doing for ND? In the pics you post you...
I just wanted to follow-up. Mikael wrote a script for me, rushed over the weekend, and it works fantastically. Its easy to use, takes advantage of my Rocket card, and allows me to use the Epic to...
Mark, Your mock-up is pretty much a perfect addition. I've resisted purchasing the Pro-IO because I LOVE the size of Epic. Your proposed mini-Pro-IO would be exactly the type of thing that I WOULD...
I'm about to start a project with a mix of animation and live action. I would love to do both with my Epic, but since there is no "Stills" mode on the Epic its a kludge. However, I really don't...
Ah I see. Now that we all know the answers to these boring questions, we should only make movies about more relevant questions, like what David? How to survive in a broken econony? How to throw a...
Ditto here. In addition to using my set on 3 feature film and numerous commercial (to the enthusiastic glee of the clients), rental demand is growing as DPs In my area get hooked on the lens' image...
Looks OK, although I like slightly longer handles.
You might want to revisit the product name though. It's pretty derivative, ripping off of the E.T. Mantis, and the Action Products Blade; both...
I thought she was awesome, as was Fassbender.
I don't usually get edits to color correct with only one layer/track. My comment stands. Plus 3GB VRAM is recommended for 4k work in Resolve.
When working with 4k footage, at least 3GB VRam is needed.
This is really great stuff.
Yep, I'm with you there Justin. I loved the movie and the plot holes were not too much a distraction for me...except this one scene with the biologist baby-talking a serpent looking new life form. ...

Not sure how use of monitor leads to inconsistencies, any more than using the histogram and being a slave to ETTR. Histograms don't provide any insight as to where you are placing neutral/grey &...
OK boys, No Spoilers now!!! I have to wait until next Friday to see it.
Enjoy!
Oh Man, not what I was hoping to hear, but understandable. Thanks for the update Brent!
I sent my Epic-M in yesterday for the upgrade (thanks Red!).
Has anyone received their upgraded M back from Red yet? If so what was your turnaround? It would be great to know what the...
The tracker in Resolve is great. Very fast and accurate. It occationally requires manual keyframing, but thats more the exception than the rule.
Something to bear in mind is the denoise capabilities in Resolve are pretty poor compared to a temporal tool like Neat.
the user reviews for this are really bad. I wouldn't trust it with my footage.
