True, But I dont know how many productions we rescued trough the years...
Normal scenario, they been out traveling and rolling for a couple of days... gathered a few terabytes of footage on slow...
1. Yes its insane.
2. It applies to all form of power / battery types.
3. As soon as something with a + and - pol that has any kind of juice in it is connected to your camera, monitor or any other...
To my experience, You are better of to shoot 8k r3d + 2 pores LT.
You can do the above using the same bandwith as shooting pores 4444 and your result will still benefit from the r3d route and it...
As I understand, When you do. The right procidure for swaping power source is... Yes sounds crazy. To first unplug the 2pin lemo out of the camera. Then swap battery on the Dtap. Then insert the lemo...
Difficult to tell by looking at the picture. What is the Dtap actually powering / connected to?
What red and other manufacturer wants is that all cables have shielding that connects before the +...
Yes you should be allowed to bring them as hand luggage. As they are not more than.... I think 120Wh each. I took redvolts plenty of times on US domestic and international flights and got through...
To be honest I see more problem with the image from the helium sensor then from Komodo. Helium has some really odd out of gamut color handling, breaking lights on the back of cars looking wack etc....
Yes if the Dtap is removed or attached to the battery when all is hooked up you run a risk of frying the whole setup.
I´m looking into finding a 5" ultra high nits screen element. Then make a solid design for it with capped in battery, nato mount and well placed SDI port. If someone has a good arrow for such element...
I do the same. My video canöes are always in. Never had an issue. But yes, cameras seams to have problems wirh this now. Im guessing the 12G cards are more sensitive.
This is how it works as I understand.
Power cables that have deep seated pins and a good shielding collar will likely do no damage. As the important thing is that there is ground / - connection...
I got the vaxis komodo atom on my camera all the time. The way its seated with the v lock plate my sdi port is pretty much built in... I also tend to power the komodo worst way possible, dtap to that...
SSC Aspeherical.
Here, two of the same 55mm lens. One just got a focus gear and front ring 80mm adapter. The other is a full rehouse made by Eastern enterprise in Tokyo, along with the rehousing they also replace the...
Works just the same I guess but I got this one:...
Not sure. It sound crazy if every time power is removed or added video cables have to be unplugged... But that is as I understand what all manufacturers are claiming now, but I hope I´m wrong as it...
No Alex, you are wrong. As it is you need to unplug the SDI cables every time you connect power, batteries or 2pin power cables.
Simply if the + pol of the power source gets in contact before the...
We been improving on this for a while now. Think this is iteration 27 of the printed stuff. Improvements makes perfect, they say... :)

As I understand the 12G connectors are more sensitive, that together with unshielded power is a problem. Or you could say the sensitive SDI connectors are a problem. Simply cameras should not brick...
Sticking to the fast onces from each focal length is a good start.
Her is a list of all FD´s ever made: https://cameraville.co/blog/list-every-canon-fd-lens-ever-made

Here is a quite rough and sloppy lens test where we tested among other things some sigmas next to some FD´s, not the most scientific of tests and done on komodo but I think you will see some...

The tilta float jostick / controller thing also runs on its own battery and it can be charged / powered wiht USB3 in, is it not the same for the handle?
And the joystick lasts really long on one...
