No doubt you've read that 80s years on, the original German print of Metropolis is being released. A 'Directors Cut' so to speak. It looks amazing.
Got me thinking though... 80s years on, how do...
I wonder if you could port a shell app of what you've just said above so that connected by the USB, you could rig an iPhone to do the same thing but feeding the vision to the iPhone. It's prob not...
I have it! BOTH are the Red One. There was never a DSLR. Jim was just playing the mind games like they did back to me in '82....
yee haw do a mythbusters episode. how good are those little vids?

Maybe you could show another inbetween image that shows an acceptable lift of the foreground subject?
I just showed people at my work this and they got pretty excited.

wait really? It's going to do 4K RGB @ 100 MB/sec?
What about all the fluff about how raw was the better choice that they've been saying all this year?
Now I'm confused

I signed up as El Stupido to DVXUSER. Then I've eventually signed up to RedUser... as El Stupido... Now you've made scarlettuser. Great stuff... Can't you migrate the user database? Or have one...
I wager they'll do something stereoscopic once Jim Cameron's Avatar rips blockbuster movies a 3D butt hole.
Jim C reckons 4k is overkill I read somewhere, but I am keen to see his take on 3D...
I just finished shooting a film with the mini35 and a panasonic HVX202. Looks hot. Shoot went well although I am sunburnt. (thanks to all who gave advice from this site)
Just a quick one to say...
ok cool. I have two 4 by 4 kinos and portable generator so i might be fine.
Hi there,
I think all these new red cameras are fantastic. I am about to shoot this short with an HVX + Mini 35 adaptor + the cheapest lenses I could hire from Panavision....
It's an outdoor...
I guess the man's gotta do what he thinks is best to have a product grid.
If the scarlett has interchangables it prob eats into the red one sales (remember that camera everyone?)... I think this...
combatentropy thanks for this post! I was wondering if this was the case... Hopefully there will be enough shouting and hollering that they'll listen... they tend to... and then we can slap 16mm...
I tend to agree with everyone saying they should adopt a Canon XL1 interchangeable/New Sony Interchangeable product model. Seems a waste for the 3K to be stuck with the one lens no matter how good it...
It make sense for them not to put the 35mm on the cheaper cousin to red etc... Fair enough... I guess.... can we shove 16mm lenses on this? Is that how it works?
just out of interest does a 2/3 inch chip possess the same optical characteristics as a 16mm camera?
Ha. Directed by Redly Scott
i just made myself a cheese sandwich. It helped me pass the time for about five minutes..... Yeahnah it didn't work! I agree - Come ooooooooon...
It's the 15th where I am (that's right. the future). And it's 12.30 at night... It seems so close. I am contemplating staying up for another half an hour just so I can dream 4k dreams of electric...

i come to you, my more experienced peers for advice...
Coming from the mini DV world, I'm about to do a shoot for a short film using prime lenses. I've tried to read as much as I can (i buy...
Surely NZ's big man on campus is gonna shoot somethin on it/is shooting something on it?
