Mac... but PC for a few months while I wait for a new Mac Pro.
Sale closed. Thanks everyone.
I recently switched from Mac to PC for work with RED footage and After Effects - the great news is CS6 works very well on both Mac and PC. I'm quite happy working on the PC but I have a Mac to the...
If you use Red Volts you need a Quad Charger (or two). I think the biggest question is if you prefer not to shut down to swap batteries. If you don't mind that then Red Volts are awesome.
I've tried that, but it's so quiet that no one could reasonably hear it. If it were loud and would create a marker in the R3D now that could get pretty interesting.

It helps to think of 2K at 60fps as a bonus to your 4K camera. It's a trade off and you can't expect to get super wide or super sharp results with it, but it's really nice to have. If your needs...
Nicely done! Scarlet 120fps looks perfect on Vimeo.
I love the idea of 2560px releases like you've been advocating. 1080p on a 2560 monitor is a little sad.
I've been doing the same switching and was glad I had an adjustable Canon lens to roughly match the crop when I switched to 3K or 2K - I'm concerned a prime lens would be too limiting or require me...
