Zak,
Not able to reproduce, but are you sure you don't have duplicates in your bin? Or do you have stills or markers setup in your export preset?
David
What build and what format are you exporting?
Hi Ivan,
Do you have auto update disabled maybe? Build 17.4 extends the license. Find it here: https://www.red.com/downloads/4fad7fd417ef027cd8000eb1
Thanks,
David
Ivan,
Thanks for the feedback. No Build 18 is definitely not intended to be slower - indeed, quite the opposite. But as the name implies, it is an alpha, and we are still working on improving...
Thanks for the information Angelo. What indication do you have that it has frozen? Typically H.264 via QuickTime will give the appearance of stalling right at the end due to the way to the codec...
Please send your EDL to redcinex at red dot com so I can take a look.

Hi Chris,
Can you enable verbose logging (from the Preferences -> General) if you have not already and send a log file to redcinex at red dot com? You can find the Logs folder by going to Help ->...
Can you send a screenshot of the gear button having disappeared?
Thanks,
David
NTFS has a file size limit well beyond 4GB. Do you mean FAT32? Are you rendering to an external drive?
Can someone send me a * small * sample wav file to redcinex at red dot com that shows this issue?
Thanks,
David
Hi Chris,
There definitely seems to be an issue with this particular invocation of REDline. I'm able to recreate it here. As a workaround if you create a QuickTime export preset inside of RCX...
Build 17.3 (released yesterday) should solve this issue. Can you confirm?
Thanks,
David
Steve,
Can you send a verbose log file to redcinex at red dot com? I'm assuming the Tascam puts out a standard BWF?
David
Hi Björn,
Can you send me an email at redcinex at red dot com, with a more detailed description of what you are doing and how you can reproduce this? That way I can take a deeper look -- I havent...
JP,
There should never exist more than a handfull of these files at any given time during a transcode. You are safe to wipe this directory, or reboot your machine which will do that same thing. Do...
JP, those files are apart of an interprocess communication mechanism we use during transcoding. It's perfectly normal -- they are temporary and disappear at the end of your transcode.
David
Just a heads up -- we've released REDCINE-X 17.1. It's minor but it fixes a significant crash issue introduced in build 17 that people were having during transcoding. As always you can find the...
Thanks for the report Pawel. We'll look into it.
Hi Mark,
If you want to keep orignal clips around in a more space efficient manner, currently one option might be to make it a two stage process:
1. Assemble your timeline and trim each clip...
Thanks Harry,
Adding XMP metadata to exported JPG's is something we can add. I'll look into that for a future release.
Cheers,
David
Hi Ed,
What Mac OSX version are you on?
David
Hi Harry,
It's still the case that snapshot's and still exports to TIFF/PSD will include XMP metadata. Snapshots get it automatically -- anything that uses a TIFF/PSD export preset needs to have...
Michael,
Perhaps you have a firewall blocking your outgoing connections from RCX?
David
Michael,
We received your clip and everything looks ok with it. The artifact you are seeing is just a result of GPU scaling when adjusting the zoom in the Viewer. Nothing to worry about unless you...
