Building a hackintosh.
Shallow DOF helps.
Having an Epic does help with selling stock footage. Most of the footage I sell is timelapse related. But every shot is a gamble and you don't know how its going to sell. I just started shooting...
Well you thinking that someone's hard work is for free is the wrong type of attitude to have. The reason why I typed what I did was because the "lets get something really good for nothing" attitude...
What do you expect for free stock footage...no kidding its not going to be at the quality your looking for. The point is, if you or the people that are producing this project are going to make money...
They could totally do this using carbon graphene. This stuff is going to change the world in so many way.

The show is really cool along with the timelapse in the beginning.
I thought last years REDuser/4K Fest was a lot of fun and I liked the way it was laid out. Hopefully something like that happens again this year. I hear that the MGM is the place to stay while at NAB...
Been using my 2x TC III with my Canon 70-200mm f2.8 II for over a year. Works fine with no problems. Might want to look into getting some kind of lens support for it though.
Some kind of computer control similar to what Canon offers would be kind of cool for Epic.
They shot film on "Man of Steel" and its awesome. Seen some of the post conversion 3D tests and I'm not really sold on that method. I would just rather watch it in 2D again.
I'm really looking forward to the official specs coming out for Dragon but I'm more than likely going to sit the upgrade out. My plans when all the Epic models were release was to get the FF35 Epic....
Looked like fun man. Really liked the time I went out to Eastern Oregon with you guys.
I've seen the Great Gatsby a couple times over here at WB and its really good. If your into Baz's movies then you'll like this one. We usually run it off an Avid in 3D.
Very true words there, totally agree with you Gunleik.
I bought my Epic over a year ago and I knew when I bought it that the market was already saturated by Epic-M's. I bought the camera because...
Where did you see the Hobbit? Trying to track down your problem as I'm a projectionist over at Warner Bros. If you saw it on the lot then there's no way you were seeing ghosting from the projection...
I've been seeing parts of it for the past year. The screenings of the Hobbit have been going full tilt at the studio for the last couple weeks. So I've seen it in 2D, 3D and 48fps 3D. Some people are...
48fps isn't the future. People at the WB screenings on the lot were walking out of the 48fps screening even before it started. Then some people followed soon after. Granted those are only about 5-10...
I work at WB sometimes as a projectionist/engineer. So I get to see a lot of things before they come out.
I have already seen the film a couple times now and I like it. Originally didn't think I would but its pretty awesome. Footage is crazy sharp.
I work at Warner Bros. and can safely say that I've seen more 48fps 3D playback than most people here. I have to admit that the static shots look amazingly sharp. But the motion kills it for me,...
Looks like Christie has taken some cues from RED. Owners of certain modle digital projectors can upgrade to 4K.
...
Those Sony projectors are shit. The colors drift like you wouldn't believe. Christie and a couple other companies have 4K projectors and don't do the same bullshit that Sony pulls. Sony's DCP...
Dude, this is very true. I don't think they ever shoot colors or read light in most theaters. When I go out on a WB show when we are doing an audience recruitment screening we shoot colors and read...
I've seen a lot of the Hobbit in 2D, 3D and 48fps 3D and I'm still a big fan of regular old 2D 24fps. The 48fps is a look for sure but it just looks too much like video to me. Still the movie is...
