Turns out Redcine has been working, just displaying on my secondary monitor through Matrox MXO. Just have to figure out how to bring it back to main monitor now.

Thanks, Tico - I tried logging in as root - Redcine still hangs on launch - I'll look for the log file next.

I've read that others have had this issue, and I've tried trashing the redcine folder, reinstalling, etc, but nothing seems to work. The Redcine app hangs on launch without reaching a splash screen...
