Love the 50 f/2.
It's an awesome lens. Like Marc said, it can get tricky with a MB, but there's always a work around.

This looks awesome Nathaniel.
Love the edit/paneled effect as well.
Where do you typically have your shutter speed when you know you'll be pulling stills and creating a motion piece from the same...
Thanks for confirming Terry.
I wonder what the life of this upgrade/trade-in deal will be.
I'm holding off and raising funds before I make my decision.
Well said Patrick.
I'm holding out for official specs and images from Dragon, or until they give us an upgrade deadline.
99% sure I'll be trading in for an Epic-MX. What an amazing opportunity,...
I think it was stated that if you chose the Scarlet-X > Scarlet Dragon option, there wouldn't be an option to upgrade that to Epic Dragon.
With new Scarlet Dragons it's anybody's guess.
Hell,...
I really hope the Scarlet upgrade (#2) has 6k 24fps.
However, using the specs relationship between Epic-X and Scarlet-X, I'd predict that RED reserves 6k for Epic Dragon. Prove me wrong RED!
I usually shoot at 8:1, which gives me a great image when properly exposed. Also gives me a very manageable shooting ratio with 2 x 64Gb SSDs.
No down time swapping between cards and dumping...

Also, definitely check out the Scarlet Group on Vimeo.
I love where digital filmmaking is taking us. I mean, I'm a 26 yr old freelance filmmaker who OWNS the same tech as industry leading production companies!
That said, I have to agree with...
For the color shift, I'd check to make sure the Gamma setting is set to NONE, in the ProRes Codec Settings. That one has gotten me before.
As far as the file size difference, there's gotta be...
Looks great Jacob. Loved the horse video.
All that loose, backlit dirt really looks amazing being kicked around.
I don't think that'll stop everyone from giving their 2c. This is RedUser. ;)
So excited about Dragon and an upgrade path, whatever, whenever, and howmuchever it'll be.
Time to start padding...

Can't wait to create this...
haha, I've totally had a 24p dream. Then the movie ended and switched back to real-life speed.
I give a ton of respect to the Hobbit team for pushing tech and making the decision, as it's theirs...
I was going to make the same point Paul. The opening scenes were the most jarring, as I wasn't "used" to the framerate yet.
I intend to see the film again, as I know for a fact I was more focused on...
Saw the midnight show in HFR 3D last night. Overall I really liked it, but I'll need to see it again.
The resolution, colors, clarity, and motion looked great in 3D. Even though I'm not a huge fan...
