CANCEL THAT! WE'RE GOOD!
Thanks!
Hey all, sorry for the caps.
Need to rent a Rocket in Chicago for THIS WEEKEND! Thunderbolt enclosure preferred but not required. If interested, please email me at...
We have one we're looking to sell. Still interested?
Keep in mind the R1's form factor requires more heavy duty support. You will want a high quality fluid head and sticks no matter what, but the Scarlet's size and weight need less so it may be less...
+1 Might see some new iMac lovin'. That said, I have both the 2011 iMac with 20GB RAM 3.4GHZ Quad Core i7 and Macbook Pro Retina 2.6GHZ with 16GB of RAM and they both rock the RED-Adobe 5k...
Bump
Used 7" RED monitor. Some cosmetic wear. Small scratches and imperfections on glass that is not visible when screen is on. Works perfectly.
Note this is not a touchscreen monitor.
$1750 OBO....
Apparently they're designed to fit the Alexa Studio's 4:3 sensor for ANA. Any idea if there will be a crop factor on the Epic at 5K ANA?
NIIICE! I've mostly shot spherical, and only used Lomos on occasion..
My question is since these lenses are designed for a 4:3 sensor like the Alexa Studio, what would the crop factor be like...
The thought of going home and picking up a project I was editing at the studio without taking a drive is really exciting. Really Reaaaally enticed...
Hey guys... What about the bolts in the tactical rib cage? They are the same as the bolts for the top plate that aren't torx. We're trying to find some spares and it's not in the RED store.
I saw it in IMAX digital since 70mm projection was sold out weeks in advance. It looked good, but I couldn't tell as much of a difference between the IMAX and 35 footage as I thought I would, aside...
If you go With refurbs, make sure you're still getting a system with thunderbolt expandability. The top model iMac from late 2011 with lots of ram has been treating me great. I run 5k 1/4 res in...
You can run a checksum that verifies the transfer. You know the footage transferred bit for bit successfully after a verified checksum, so now it's just a matter of the storage media you transferred...
There was this same mentality when producers wanted to keep shooting Betacam for television just before HDTV. In a technology-driven industry, investing in soon-to-be obsolete technology is like...
Sergio, you should be able to change the scaling in the display section of settings to get more of the RCX interface on the smaller screen. Hope that helps! :)
Black Shading will help, but when you're windowing to such a small part of the sensor as 1k, you're also magnifying the noise that you don't see much of at 5k.
Make sure you're black shading for...
I'm sure there was a day when people were having this discussion on which filmmakers were least likely to shoot in color... or with sound. Not to say this is totally analogous.
Five years ago,...
i installed it a while ago, but I think there should be a readme in there. You need to copy and paste those files into specified directories. There isn't any installer.
Well the rocket will significantly speed up your transcodes to pro res, but after that you're golden on any MacBook Pro from the last couple years with FCP 7.
Are you transcoding for your edit, or wanting to work with the R3Ds natively? If you're transcoding to Pro Res in FCP 7, you'll be fine with any generation macbook pro unless you need the rocket for...
Wow! That's without a rocket or any external peripherals?? I assume we're talking about the 2.7 GHz model? Excited to order mine... Time to call our Apple Business rep...
Thanks guys... I'm reconsidering looking at the 2.6 model. I'm wondering how willing they'd be to let me bring in a red mag reader and install a trial of cs6 to test in the apple store... ...
Ok, I really only want to spring for the 2.3ghz if I can... Any chance I could edit 5k at 1/4 res In premiere pro cs6 with the 2.3ghz/16gb?? And.... *GULP* how about 6K when the dragon drops?? $600...
