i'm guessing RCPX style controls would be available in the "info" area of FCPX. There's all kinds of metadata in there, some of which contain drop-downs or areas to change information.

did you pay much attention to the Scarlet's auto-focus? i have a couple of Sony camera where, unless I'm outside or under set lights, the autofocus is pretty useless...
