Yeah they are all probably reading this and there will be silence followed by... "those *#%^$*!!!"
Add in the expletive you think works best, they are not going to be able to match these prices...

Good to Know!
That looks pretty good, I'm assuming twixor wouldn't work on the water examples?
Hang on a second... they dumbed down the Scarlet data to HD then blew it up 400% so they could compare it to 1080p video (all poorly taken BTW)?
Are they Retarded?
Hope this is allowed...
A group of friends and I are trying to win the Ottawa International Film Festival's 72 Hour Film Challenge.
It has a list of prizes (such as Adobe Software, Screening in...
Was that shot regularly then you added HDRx or did you shot with the concept that you were HDRx committed (expose and underexpose vs. underexposed and overexposed)?
Any word on the Nikon mount for Epic/Scarlet?
I would really like to know what "uncompressed video via the HDMI port" really means, beyond that it looks flipping amazing camera and as I have a huge pile of pro Nikon glass this may be the camera...
In say 6-9 months I think the Scarlet will be the best camera to rent unless you need features the R1 has the Scarlet doesn't and don't have the budget for Epic.
That said for pricing I think its...
Another Tip for cold weather, when you go inside wait until the camera is room temperature or your lenses/sensors will fog up and your going to be up a creek without a paddle until they thermally...
I have worked with microanalysts on testing microchips and there failure rate and I'm a bit worried when I hear things like second grade or using sensors that didnt pass Epic QC without more details...
$5000 cheaper than the canon solution and you end up with the same result. If I was buying a Scarlet-X, this is the way I would do it (Except I would go Samurai as I think Scarlet has SDI output).
Just out of curiosity is there any marketing footage or stills from the "Scarlet-X"? I know its suppose to be close to an EPIC but I can't find any "Scarlet" Material that isn't associated with the...
I would of suspected 1/2 of a Red MX as its about half the price.
So around $300? You can't charge $1,000 a day for the camera, I could buy one for what it would cost in two weeks. Sure there are...
Hmmm... Well the Scarlet-x is an amazing camera, it's just not what I was hoping for (I really liked the Scarlet Fixed - compact all-in-one, low DOF easier to handle for post, 120fps at 3k, price...
$20,000 is a joke right? It's basically a pro 5DM2, and I didn't hear anything about RAW
Come on Scarlet!
Canonrumours appears to be down.
Apparently there is a "Scarlet" page, it's just blank
http://www.red.com/store/scarlet
Me three, but I can understand if there is a price boost, but hopefully Red doesn't price it out of my market, otherwise I'll likely end off going Canon (5Dm2 or whatever)... :(
A good feature or 72 minutes of something which one could call a feature?
The real question is how long until a wide release feature is in theatres shot solely with the scarlet...
My Answer:...
3 cameras?
Scarlet
Red One
Epic
Well,
Last time we heard from Ted when he was talking Scarlet he was indicating a price of around $7000 for a usable setup, I would suspect the price has slightly increased but if it's over $10k...
I think you would be looking more towards a RED TWO (if such a thing where to exist) however as Jeffery noted, +$15K for the body you might as well buy an epic.
You know one day the cameras will know how far each pixel is from the lens... then all this "bigger sensor=more DOF" for the same F/T stop garbage will end. You could just add it in post, oh wait......
I'd take HDRx in a heartbeat, who is going to say no to some extra dynamic range?
I'll use it when I need it and shoot without it when I can.
It's another tool in the tool box.
