Alan clarified that in the UK of course, you pay VAT and claim...
I don't know of package orders being replaced by individual items, perhaps check with RED Europe?

I come from stills Daniel and have mentioned previously that I certainly wouldn't replace stills kit with Scarlet, for many of the practical reasons you mention, if stills only is the intended use. ...

I'm sure I remember this too, although I can't find a reference. I also thought I read some sort of 'RED One approaching eol' statement during the Scarlet announcement on Nov 3rd. Although, again,...
Not directly related to film school, but from looking backwards (I'm much older) here are a couple of random thoughts.
I ran away to sea when I was younger than you and had a great time for a few...
You're welcome Meryem. The best of luck with your project and this initiative.
Meryem's a girl, isn't she? :)
They have their methods............bottom line, you take a big risk with very expensive kit. Most of the time you might get away with it, what happens if you don't.............
And possibly confiscate your kit into the bargain......
I've been doing a lot of serious thinking about all of this for the past 24hrs......not so much money, (if the servers had been up I'd have had an order in by now :)) but the professional aspect.

Yes. In the UK you can claim it back of course, if you're VAT registered.
You will get a final European invoice. Jim or Jarred already mentioned somewhere about giving the overwhelmed Bomb...
You don't yet get an option to pay via CC online for RED Europe. Your online order will be passed to them via the system and you will get an email invoice from them, then once you have confirmed...
Hi Kamilla, Yes, you will get an email from RED Europe.

Paul, with respect, perhaps you could consider showing some sympathy to those RED Users who've been here a lot longer than you and are understandably disappointed that the camera they've wanted for...
Yes, battling away at past 3am in the morning here, could't get past order confirmation.....!@£$%^&*()!!!. Even emailed an order to RED Europe but not possible.
Oh well, good luck to RED and...
Will it still look like this I wonder? Under three hours to find out........http://www.red.com/images/press/media/scarlet.png

Anyway, enough of this for now............Scarlet should be here in less than five-hours :D.
Easy Jeff
Agreed, and that's what the original conversation was about........Matt did point out the '10mm is a 10mm is a 10mm' earlier.
Not from FF35mm to 2/3ds it isn't, that conversion (which is what Matt and I were comparing) is 3.75/3.8x.
And therein lies the difficulty with 'crop factors'..........care needs to be taken over...
The approximate crop factor FF35mm to 2/3rds is 3.75. I.e. a 50mm standard lens on a Nikon or Canon full-frame dslr would equate to 187mm telephoto on a 2/3rds Scarlet (different aspect ratios...
