Sounds interesting. Email sent.
I'm lost trying to decide which path to go (scarlet) I wish my funds would let me leap to the amazing possibilities of 6k, we'll see maybe I'll have to do it in stages. Better than 4k will be great...
The 4-10 pound arm limit basically eliminates the scarlet as a flyable camera, you might want to look at this uber long thread about a Chinese steadicam that's under 2k...
Well this wasn't really hinted at before! It can do 6k at 24fps right? ;) ... I'm addicted to pulling stills from my scarlet and am lusting after more res.
Exactly, it's basically the same principle. Place the text where you want it to stick with the footage, apply "Match Move" then choose a point to track, if that point exits frame, stop the tracking...
You're using the "match move" behaviour right? If so all you have to do is choose a point that will stay in frame after you want the text to leave and track that point. Then place the text where ever...
Just specified the battery mount choice and cabling, was there any other cabling that came with it besides the 12v or 24v power cables and the 6 pin LEMO?
ps the fb group sounds good to me!
I was in the same boat, getting a Sony Ex cam instead of my deasired RED even when it was vapour ware the hype and then the first milk maid footage was so exciting. it was only until recently that I...
Up to 34, we can do it!! Just a couple more
Order placed a second ago!
I'm desperately trying to get the cash together, is the 28th the last day I can order or do I have to order before the 28th?
I'm also torn, both deals need 80+ to reach a level pricing I can stomach, hopefully testing will give one package the boost of support over the other. There are so many things I need, I don't really...
Haha that makes a lot more sense!
Thanks for the continued effort, L'Angle offer is interesting ... but could be slightly out of my budget, looking forward to PROline's offer.
If the Laing project dies, Vitaliy won't have any business from any RU members, his site was never on our radar and he has now pretty much disqualified himself as an option ... as you saw he's not...
That looked good to me, I noticed the horizontal lines were off a few times, but it looked pretty great. Especially considering the narrow corridor you chose! :cheers2: Thanks for doing it, I'm...
Haha great suff, not showing the dog actually 'talking' made it feel quirky, but not cheesy! Fantastic Job.
We just need a good deal for a capable product, so I'm stoked to see some of the reviews!
Thx for the comments! All canon mount lenses: 70-200 IS II, sigma 8-16, but my main lens probably was my Samyang 35mm 1.4 ... I'm on a really limited budget :)
Thanks Bob, it is a great place especially during the summer months!
Here are a a few of the stills I took (with the Scarlet) for this project:

Well, today is an awesome day for me, I just finished the first videos and photos I've gotten to use my Scarlet-X for! The project was for a local company, the Nanaimo Economic Development...
Really stoked for what's in store, and I just paid off my Scarlet and new Hackintosh to use the footage! Everyone at RED ... the flying by the seat of your pants style has worked really well!
Fantastic test! Thanks for the write ups as well, they are really informative. The lack of fringing and their ethereal glow made the wide open Leica primes so beautiful, but they'll probably circle...
Mike I'm definitely one of those stabilizer curious RED owners you talk about, for me, doing a workshop would be cost prohibitive due to travel. Especially when considering I can get a stabilizer for...
