4K master output via ProRes 4444/HQ as well. 4096x2160
Even not checking "render at maximum depth" and "maximum render quality," still gastly render times. 23 seconds takes like 5 minutes to export. Working in 4K/5K timelines, scale to frame size, etc....
Still takes forever on exports. FCPX so much faster at this.

Selling a complete system!! Over $3,000 invested. I'm upgrading so letting it go for a great price.
Includes:
DJI Phantom System with upgraded DEVO controller for longer range/features...
My pleasure.
Lots of research needed to be done on your end, but I can hopefully kickstart your process a little.
If you're using a mini gyro, I would recommend using a wide lens, like 24 maybe 35mm since...
John Coyle = great guy = inventor of Shotover = my "uncle-in-law." :-) It's an amazing piece of machinery. Strong visuals as always Mark.
You would just need a cheese plate, but this guy is rock solid (that is if you're not using your miller compass 25).

Calibrating is tough. I spoke with the lead firmware developer for smallhd and said that us RED users really need black level control, among many other things. He said he hadn't heard from any...
Time to part with my great machine. Downsizing. This is in excellent condition, not really used a lot. It's less than 2 years old, kept in case entire time.

Once PP CS6 was released, at the time, it was the only editing platform to work with R3D's natively. Everyone flocked over to the Adobe bandwagon, and I was one of them because they addressed a need...
Are you looking for an HD monitor or a wireless system?
In terms of an actual wireless system, you can't go wrong with a Paralinx setup. Simple, plug and play. Love mine and use it on almost...

The downside to "scale to frame size" is there is a noticeable quality difference on export. But if it's not your final deliverable and only for review, that works.
My suggestion would be to edit...
For run-n-gun work, which I do quite frequently, you'd be surprised at how well the SH works at gripping the camera. Put a small lens on, and you've got a very compact rig, even with the touch...
supports up to 15lbs. Have not tried it.

Sorry for the delayed response Steve. I realized I was using Pluraleyes V2, which works with R3D's no problem. If you download pluraleyes V3, you have the option to install V2 from their installer....
Have a job coming up in Portland (July 19-20th). May only be 1 day. Looking for Scarlet or Epic with Canon Mount.
Thanks!
When you're talking about flying an Epic vs a 5d, you get into a whole other leage of costs when you're trying to fly an Epic. Beefier motors, props, gimbal, etc. A proper epic rig will cost about...
I think a monopod, much like the manfrotto ome with the 3 mini legs (don't remeber the exact model number) would be a lifesafer for u as opposed to hand holding the entire rig all day. I use this...
Depending on your deliverable, you could record at that 1k 90fps with a higher shutter speed than 180 degrees, then use post software like Twixtor or Motion to interpolate those frames to slow things...
Try SmallHD's AC7 OLED. It has made focusing a breeze. :-)
Be careful with 5khd within premier. Still a little buggy.
You can always use flour. That's extra gorilla style.
