I have never had my carry on weighed, I guess I'm lucky. I have heard the Austrailia weighs carry on luggage on a regular basis. Sometimes you can get a production exception with an airline and they...
These comments are good. Defiantly prep your footage before you drop it in the sequence. Good luck
I start by making my kit small, but versatile. I don't like to give up the Matt box and ff, so I go with Canon glass ( I like the 24-70 mk2, 70-200 and the 17 TS), 15mm carbon fiber rods with the...
I had this exact problem too when tilting the button twice quickly to skip thru pre-record and start rolling. Good to know there is a fix, thanks Dane.
The sensor is the issue. The limitation is the read and reset speeds of "non-global" sensors. I believe there is also some limitation with the architecture of the circuitry in the camera. However...
I'm sure this is a common practice, I've done it several times. It's only tricky if you actually are looking at the sun with a long lens and such And the shot is long enough to see the movement of...
I recently shot in Monument Valley for 4K, I framed and used lenses to make the landscape look grand, often people or vehicles are seen as tiny objects in the bottom of the frame. When these shots...
Thats true, but if you show them 4K they'll love it, and you gotta shoot 4K, 5K or 6K to get that 4K finish.
4K is today for me. I have a 4K TV and have been mastering my stuff and reviewing it in 4K and it is beautiful. It's kinda hard to go back and watch 1080 afterwards. I am currently releasing my first...
My preferred method of mounting my Bolt is to use the 1/4 20 thread on the bottom and a Red Arm. It likes to have some air around it, probably best to not mount it to the side of a warm camera body.
Ok, Here is a shot, it's only 1280 H264 though.

I like your idea in general, it could be very useful when traveling, etc. to know where help and gear can be found. As long as the security thing can be worked out the idea could work.
There is a big Adobe complex near my home and they have low cost lunch and free drinks for the employees. As it happens, anyone can walk in the front door and get the same cheap food and free drinks....
BTW the Sony is the best sounding panel I've ever heard, in case that's important to anyone. They way I'm using it its very helpful.
$6999 USD
edit: after reading again it sounds like your question is rhetorical. Yes, you'd think the QA would be better, at least they owned up to it.
I got my Sony 4K today and got it working (with the help of the Ultrastudio 4K and my MacBook retina) only to find the TV is defective and Sony is shipping me a new one. it works but the screen,...
All true. But the tech curve always levels out, certainly at different rates for different industries. Right now our industry's digital tech is sky rocketing upward but it the ascent rate will...
Interesting statement. I wonder when we will get to this point that the cameras are "done". Like all tech there is a bell type curve where the products get so good that the advance start to come much...
I agree, I don't feel like "ahh, 6K. Now we can finally get some real 4K images" I think the current Epic does really nice 4K. I too am interested in better color, noise, DR etc. but the extra...
I just finish my first 4K short. It's a non-narrative style film (think Baraka, Timescapes) the shots are detailed, long and showcase 4K well. It's not online yet so I don't have a link to film but...
I just got a call from Crutchfield to let me know they have my Sony 4K TV and are shipping it. I wasn't expecting it till late May. Now where is my Redray?
Sony and Crutchfield have opened up pre-orders today for the 55" and 65" XBR 4k TVs. If you order now you should have them in a little over a month, or so they say. I ordered a 65" which is a panel I...
Sony Pre-orders are open today.
Or you can use the new 4K studio from Black Magic with your mac or Macbook via thunderbolt.
