has this been fixed yet? we are dead in the water on a documentary because of this issue.
update:
I ended up exporting frame sequences using redline. this worked on some of the corrupted clips in order to transcode the good frames, it also printed the bad frames as corrupt or black,...
We've been able to determine that the corruption occurred in a copy process. another mag's worth of clips was behaving the exact same way but fortunately the original camera media for that mag was...
yeah, that is what the labs site suggests, but there is no read me file on the download. not sure the link is even pulling down the right compressed archive to get to the plugins.
Anyone else having issues getting this to install? The Adobe Labs site's own instructions seem to contradict what I am getting when I download the plugins. There is no installer only...
thank you both. Resolve is a good idea. We're trying selective sections of the files in RCX, but it's a mine field of frames and the app just keeps crashing. Will continue with these suggestions. ...
Due to a bad copy process and some questionable DIT protocol, I have been provided with .r3d files that are partially corrupted. Transcoding steps continually fail in RCXpro, usually crashing the...
Mikael,
The direct XML route works for us this time, I suspect it will usually continue to. Thanks for confirming it's likely something in RCX's LUA import tool. We would love to have options...
Just emailed you. Only thing we have changed is RCX-Pro itself with the built in update tool.
Thanks Mikael.
We still use it because the direct XML has proved buggy in the past. However we found today that the resulting LUA script from version 0.92 did not import with any in/out range, only the full clip...
Mikael, is 0.92 the last release of your script?
Thank you sir.
Feature request for RCX: Include all the stock camera resolutions in the export resolution pulldown menu, such as 3K 3072x1620.
we are rendering out QT (uncompressed 10-bit) @ 4kHD, aprox 20 clips. we are not using REDline.
We are experiencing fairly consistant freeze ups when we are batch exporting in Redcine-x Pro. Process freezes and ETA starts counting backwards.
Canceling the export results in a full CPU freeze...
Looking forward to it.
A film projection print might have gate weave and some chatter (jittery) and look a touch softer due to the mechanical/optical process of being projected, so I see how digital projections would...
Thanks for the reply. Any ETA on the codec?
Since the resolutions on Scarlet are 1.9:1 aspect ratio (with the exception of 4K HD, 16:9) is there a way to display a 16:9 reticule in the viewfinder that accounts for having the image scaled to...
So I understand that the Epic and Scarlet cameras (both of which I shot tests on yesterday) no longer auto generate the QT wrappers or "proxies" in camera. I attempted to generate wrappers for the...
"4K" is no longer 16:9, 4K HD is. There used to be (RED ONE) both 4K HD and 4K 16:9 resolutions available. The difference was 4K HD was evenly divisible by 1920x1080 which made transcoding faster...
I have seen "Everything Is Illuminated" and it's a terrific script and decently directed, very enjoyable film with a nice message. It's an entirely different kind of movie than "Three Kings". ...
I grade my shots at 4K and just reframe in the editor (FCP7) to match what ever reframing we may have done in the offline... much easier than doing this in RCX and it allows you to change your mind.
Pro might... which I have yet to download... but REDCINE X does not auto update.
Trying to refer my staff to download the latest version of the pro version... why can't this be someplace obvious?
