Jeremy, I will be there as usual (it's easy for me, I'm French:smiley:). Are you coming in person?

Just saw that Ruairi Robinson's Last Days on Mars has been selected for the Director's Fortnight in Cannes.
Congratulations Ruairi, that's awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing the film for its...
The upgrade will be done in US only. But you will be able to send your camera to Red UK and have them handle the temporary export.
Wow.
I'm amazed you managed to get the PD involved so quickly. Would take much longer (and a lot of paperwork) over here.
Wonder what the total box-office for the films in that reel is.
I'm sure you could make a spectacular reel with indie films shot on Red as well.
Congratulations Jim. Looks like you did it.

Phil, thank you for your take on glass for 6K. I'll have to look into the Schneider FF. Until then I will try to expand on my Leica R collection. And of course I still have Canon EF glass with the...
Small tablets already have higher than 1080 HD resolution. It might take a while for people to move to UHD but it will come. An analyst at MIPTV this week was expecting only 50% of TV screens to have...
With that in mind, which glass would you consider using for 6K on a personal project ?
Relax. Footage will come.
I fully trust Red in regards to bringing to market a superior sensor. I've been an early adopter on R1 and Epic and never regretted it. That is not the issue here. In fact Red is not the issue here....
Thanks for reminding to go see it ! It's been released here a month ago (to mixed reviews).
With the Dragon sensor AND asics only being covered by a 90 days warranty, wouldn't it make more sense to sell our Epic and buy a brand new Epic-X Dragon for (a ridiculously low) $24K which would get...
Then how do you explain the Pro I/O module?

Yeah, that's the official word. It doesn't really matter either way. We'll see when the first working models start shipping.
You can already pre-order a new Epic-M Dragon in the store. They are seemingly assembling these in that mini-lab at NAB.
Any indication on how long the battery on the pocket cam will last?

Maybe they can ship the NAB mini-lab to Europe... ;-)

Hopefully that still holds true.
Haven't heard anything yet but since our order is being handled by RED UK, I'm hopeful that they will handle the export/import process. Don't want to go through that nightmare again.
There is a very loooooong thread about this somewhere. General consensus was that it is a make-up problem. Some users seemed to agree that it showed more when shooting Tungsten and that you could...
You will get a $1000 credit at time of invoice (at least that's how I understood it).
There is a huge difference though. The difference is that the Red One offered a level of image quality that no other camera on the market offered, not even the much more expensive ones.
