Most cameras is 1080, some 4K, but Epic is 5k.. and RAW. I don't see RED being late on anything.

Alexa and C100 are good cameras, but I think Epic is a good camera too.

hehe with that attitude you'll have phun dealing with raw-work flow. RED is a rollercoaster. If you deal with the lows you will experience the highs too.

I run a HP z820 2x8 core, and a 2008 mac pro w rr. The HP is silly much faster w playback and decode then the old mac w rocket.

I tried FCPX and it just pissed me off. Not liking it even if it was made of gold and created by unicorns.

If you have your material converted to quicktimes, just use cinama tools and re-set framerate to match sync.

Filmcameras have NOT global shutter. They have a rotating mirror so there is also motion artifacts top-to-bottom. It's just non CMOS (CCD) camers that have global shutter.

I havent purchased much from RED lately, but the Toia module is a must-have!

The only thing that is predictable with RED is they are unpredictable. Dont count on anything.
