Hey Jarred, if you're still online, tell us more about no-penalty Low ISOs. Does this mean that we won't need ND filters much anymore?

When is the x64 version of Lightworks coming out?
I'm going to try putting one of the Titans back into the PC box and see where we go from there. The Cubix wants the first slot, won't fire up in the other x16 slot, so that means the graphics card is...
The disaster zone known as Premiere is giving me all sorts of grief since I got back from a long shoot. If anyone can help I would be very grateful.
I'm on Windows 7 x64, with a Red Rocket, GTX...
If it's any consolation, it's a mess on PCs too.
sometimes 3, sometimes 6, sometimes none at all for days on end. When I've got stuff to think about sleep is impossible.
I frequently have to use a self-hypnosis technique which involves counting...
Yep. That's why. But for someone like me, who doesn't need razor thin DOF on every shot, they're great. :-)
Fotodiox 645/Canon adapter onto the Canon Ti mount. Mostly I use the 35, 45 and 55. They don't open very wide, but they have a nice long focus throw, are built like tanks and still look great despite...
Also, OTM in NE LA http://www.otm-rentals.com/
Work permit renewal time. Have to show them that I'm worth keeping in the country, so I rushed this together from some recent projects, including 4 days in Myanmar (Burma) doing a pro bono job for a...
liking that a lot.
I wonder how long it will take for competitors to add the ability to open files created by Photoshop/AE/Premiere or InDesign/Illustrator etc.
It'll be interesting when Resolve 10 comes out with OFX support
very nice. I'll be showing it to my mate, another Red shooter but addicted to PL glass, tomorrow. :-)
I am currently in the middle of two pro-bono jobs, one for a Singapore charity and another for a Myanmar charity. In both cases the deal is on a handshake but, as there is no written agreement for me...
All last week I was in Myanmar, Burma, doing some pro bono work. The people are amazing, and very happy to stand in front of a Red.
Unfortunately the jpegs are a bit blanched, so I've attached...
I second the DSLR route with Aperture mode. But if you must use your Red, remember to set the fans to work at a higher rate while shooting as working at minimum from sunrise to sunset might result in...
Apparently over 78,000 people have already applied.
so I guess you won't be taking the Creative Cloud subscription? :-)
wow. That's definitely going on the blu-ray purchase list.
[/h]well, they've given you enough clues.
Always being on a tight budget means scouring 2nd hand dealers for good lenses. Right now my favourite primes are a bunch made for the old Mamiya 645 series. They have a long manual focus, excellent...
Sure. But try shooting a timelapse where you need an exposure longer than one second :-) Or try shooting stock on a street - especially out here where security paranoid over-zealous guards will move...
I think the boards will light up when the first email is received :-)
For all of the DSMC promise, a pro stills shooter is still better off using a pro DSLR imho. That's why my shoot bag has both an Epic and an EOS 5.
