Jello, Skew, Moire, aliasing, red's new global shutter, more direct workflow, ability to record sound, ability to use P/L mount lenses, ability to do high speed, ability to upgrade to dragon (16.5...
Nobody is doubting that education matters, and yes there is no debate.
However it is only in how one choses to limit their dreams which will dictate how limited their skill set becomes. But the...
Awesome detail, resolution and grey tonal rendering (as far as I can tell from a jpeg anyway).
What lenses did he use Jarred? Did he use colour filters?
Damn it... I didn't want to get into a debate as I am too busy... but it is out there now so be it :)
I like this debate, and I am going to get in on it. Gonna tangent the shit out of this thread for a little. Warning.. I don't mean this in any aggressive or egotistical way. Just saying it like it...
Peter. Relax. Calm blue ocean :)
I love debates over grammar and context.
AAAAAANNNNNNDDDDD STAY OUT!
heh heh heh
When has this ever been different?
30 years ago people with ideas had the choice to shoot on 65mm, 35mm, 16mm or 8mm...
Every time a film like this comes up we all get excited... it was shot...
What did you shoot that on? Unbelievably sharp and lifelike... congrats on your award btw.
Let me know when you get to Tokyo Gunleik ;)
I looked at where it said dynamic range and compared the decibels to what is listed for dragon...
Humour aside, this sensor is amazing. Has the same DR as dragon, effectively...
Mate, it's not just a global shutter and ND, but better than that. i wouldn't reduce what red has achieved to that. The magic motion mount will not only reduce rolling shutter and half screen flash...
This sounds terrible... I give it 1 year before it dies away...
Thanks paul... will i be able to batch render whilst keeping the same filename as the original as well (keeping original timecode)?
Thanks... I answered my own question... yes and yes.
Hey Guys,
I am trying to transcode from an prores 4444 to a DNxHD 36 MXF file... but am terribly stuck.
How on earth do I go about doing this? WHat dalies program is best suited to this, or...
And there we go.. Mosaic is making an OLPF... wicked
WOw. I never knew that. I always assumed each particular sensor had a native ISO, with a fixed amount of electricity pumping into it to give it it's sensitivity.
If it is in fact true that it has no OLPF I think we will see mosaic engineering making a cusom olpf pretty fucking fast. And they will sell like hotcakes. So I am not too worried. I am just very...
How do you know this (regarding the OLPF)?
Hey Guys,
What is the current situation with the OLPFs of the BMCC 4K and the PocketCam? Will the pocketcam be without olpf like the original BMCC?
ALso, ISO... what is the native ISO of the...
I know this probably won't happen, but you know what would do it for me? If there was a 1000fps burst mode for 15 seconds at 4K!
I am sure there are all kinds of sensor limitation issues but that...
Don't be so quick to judge - I don't believe that there was any of that in his post. It was an honest question.
Nobody has bought it yet. They have just placed upgrade orders.
The same arguent could be made for the BMCC. Sold out before it was released.
If Arri announced a new camera, I am sure you...
