You have to know the camera well to consider it "reliable" IMHO. I have never had a single camera problem that held up production with our Epic or Scarlet. I have had to do on-set restarts on...
Awesome video, thanks for posting!
Do these show % battery life on the Epic?
Thanks,
Philip
I have used my Sachtler FSB 8 with our Epic on plenty of shoots and love it. You can usually find them used for under $2k if you shop around a bit.

No problems here. Both our Epic and Scarlet have worked well and have not gone back to RED for repairs. Our Epic M went back for some free upgrades, but I would never complain about that!
Interested as well! USA
I have had a similar thing happen once. It turned out to be a problem with the file on our server, and once I played back from the card there was no issue. For some reason, the on-set transfer...
Mind = blown. Amazing work as always! Looking forward to upgrading our Epic M (and hopefully scarlet) when this become available!
Have you tried restarting the camera? I have had this issue as well and a restart seems to fix it.
bump. If you have a need for this, make me an offer! Thanks!
We had no problems, it was only that hot for an hour or so, and we kept it in the shade the whole day as best we could. Most of the day it was 112-117F, which is still plenty hot! You can see what we...
Not sure what the exact specs mean... But, I've used Epics in everything from -25F to +125F with no issues at all.
I have used the Gates housing with our Epic for a pool shoot. It worked perfectly and was fairly easy to setup and test. I think we rented the housing directly from Gates, but I can't remember...
I would highly recommend the Cinema Oxide solution. It's less than most other options out there and is really clean and simple.

It's very likely if the wrong size screw was used. The cheeseplate from RED does allow you to mount things on the top and you could screw in a screw that could damage something. It's definitely not...
Hi Paul,
Interested in the Bartech systems. Do you have any photos of the kits?
Thanks,
Philip
Still available. If you need this, feel free to make an offer! It's not doing us any good sitting on my desk...

This cable came with our "Power Pack" we just purchased from RED. It is brand new in the bag and has never been used. We only have Epic/Scarlet packages, so we have no use for this cable.
Asking...
We have both and use them between our Epic and Scarlet depending on the job. Personally I find the Side Handle the quickest and easiest way to navigate the menus on either camera. We have the...

RED Quickplate with 2B to 1B power adapter cable for use with RED Epic/Scarlet. We recently switched our power setups and no longer have a need for these items. Price new is $500 for the quickplate...
Couldn't agree more! We have that setup on our Epic M and love it. The riser makes the camera compatible with all industry standard baseplate setups and the XLR inputs look like they are factory...
