How much are you asking?
All except the RED One series correct?
How about make new boards for every camera? From the RED One on, none of those are made of “unobtainium” and can’t be rebuilt. There’s just newer versions of the pieces that made those parts, RED has...
That’s what I was thinking, I couldn’t remember if there was a clause or something about owning the negative for film or something like that. Not sure if 8mm footage from the 70’s will be in demand...
Hi, everybody, I happened to see some old 8mm film canisters at a few yard sales and a thrift store recently, family road trip or school memory looking things according to the labels on the cans, and...
I know what you mean, it’s what I felt with my RED One MX, but that was because of lack of parts from the various places RED got things from and no longer has deals with but with everything coming...
Hi, everybody, I enjoyed a Fathom Events screening of "Jay and Silent Bob Reboot" last night which was a double feature with "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and it brought up some questions after...
They offer a good deal of their legacy titles only on DVD, usually the TV movies like "Don't Look Under The Bed" for example. It wouldn't surprise me if some of their newer TV stuff was DVD-only as...
It's a tricky time for Dragon sellers. I've been keeping an eye out since last summer when we were desperately looking for a backup cam as we had a power issue scare on our RED One MX (thankfully it...
Woof, I’d hate to ask the price of the protective B+W UV filter for this one!
We tried using some GoPro 4 Blacks to film some night driving plates and it was just a waste of gasoline, the footage was so noisy it was unusable and we had to get a good mount to put our Sony A7S...
I watched it on mute so it was a little odd to see nodding faces mixed with completely out of focus shots  but the shots that were in focus were very informative. I would have thought the...
Hey, everybody, not sure if this would fit in another category, however, I was watching Kai W's video on the new Z-cam E2 and had a thought when discussing the high frame rate capabilities at 4K....
I like that we've come to this point where there really are options now for high end and long term use cameras, no more flavor of the month H.264 8-bit wonder cameras! Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed...
I've said it before, the price is the only issue for me at the moment. I've been eyeing a Hydrogen One just to see what is offered for Hydrogen owners but knowing that it will still probably be a...
And this is all in one shot? If it's just the table moved between plates and not the camera, then you would definitely have to do some compositing and decide which table image you want to separate...
Without seeing the shot, it sounds like it was indeed filmed improperly. The camera would have to be locked off like you say but if furniture is being moved around, bedsheets/curtains/tablecloth/etc....
Oh yes! I was talking more about flagship cameras, Komodo is a special case of course. RED's top camera is 8K so Komodo can be 6K since it's on the lower end of the line.
There's nothing wrong with using some of the cheaper Amazon finds, especially the flexible LED mats which can double as regular lights too. Also, getting some of those $200 light kits with stands...
It's like the current 6K lineup, everybody was expecting 8K because we've all been seeing 8K everywhere else, so what's with 6K? It's obvious that they want to milk customers for one more round...
Things have been holding pretty steady but still I get a AEVideoFilter crash almost daily for some random reason. However, tonight when I kept getting the error while loading my latest project save,...
Even with RED One MX footage, I'm seeing that some shots in my first feature only really need a slight tweak of Lows/Mids/Highs to be technically perfect. Because of all the various VFX in the film...
It happened again! I apparently can't mess with this RED footage at all in the Master Effects panel! I was just testing and comparing one shot to another, thinking I had it all fixed after finishing...
UPDATE! Alright, so I was still getting the crashes last night, here's what I've done and it seems to have worked:
1. Disabled Thumbnail previews on the timeline
2. Tried to keep thumbnail...
Ok, this could have nothing to do with it or everything to do with it. I just edited half of an action sequence and was closing up for the night and I happened to scroll over my sequence in the...
