You could always top mount the camera which would give you extra height. Seen people do it with the Movi.
I've been operating a steadicam for quite some time now, so I'll try and compare the 2. :-)
oh and in terms of a meetup, I'm thinking late march (crossing fingers)
Will keep you posted.
PS - Who's Travis? hehe
Will do :-0
Hey guys. So my Movi system is arriving here shortly, and I'm going to share my entire experience with it including videos, photos, etc.
I'm going to put together a thorough, in-depth review as...
I never have any issues...though if you have football player hands, it may be a tad difficult. You could always rock the side-handle to control the menus as opposed to using the touch functionality....
Most of us use the Hoodman hood. Best one out there!
I'd be careful with those Konova products. I've test their sliders...and it's cheaply made and not as smooth as the other offerings. There are a lot of cheaper sliders out on the market. Cinevate...
It was definitely an amazing experience that all those who were involved will never forget. If it by chance helped to start a chain reaction, that's awesome!! :-) Thanks Robert!
I think it's going to be WAY green. If the guy who pronounces it as Fres-nel sees green...the MX/Drag sensors will pick it up like crazy. Yes, it probably can be removed in post, but still...who...
You may be best off with a Canon mount, zoom lens to give you a decent range focal wise. Maybe a Canon 24-70 L Series II. You could also go the Zeiss Contax route, definitely cheaper and my favorite...
Very cool. VFX looked good. :-) Sweet edit and grade.
I use the Tiffen Vari ND screwed directly onto lenses. It's like $130 ish. Keeps your setup light, and faster at changing lenses. The Canon 24-70 and 70-200 is a nice range for run-n-gun stuff.
I loved the colors as well. I even think last couple of episodes even looked a tad sharper to me. Jealous of that Dragon.
Sound is really only available in 24/25/30 fps land since when you over crank, you generally put that footage into a 24/25/30 based timeline to get it to be "slow-motion," therefore, sound can't be...
That absolutely looks like sensor dust to me.
Do you have an arctic butterfly? If not, I'd strongly suggest investing in one. It's a lifesaver. It creates a static charge, and generally, removes...
Nicely done sir. :-)
You may want to get one to avoid being taxed upon arrival back into the USA. That is predominately what a carnet is for. To provide proof of your gear's country of residence. I've done lots of...
Cinevate has a nice wheeled/hard/soft case. :-0
Adaptive has worked great for me. If you're recording in high temperatures, you could always get cool gel packs to keep the camera cool.
It sold. See post 1 :-)
I don't know Andrea. :-(
All PM's have been answered. As of right now, it's still available.
