Kind of like asking do you like telephoto lenses or wide angle lenses. The answer to your question really depends, IMHO.

Still have half a dozen Totas in my kit, although they don't get used all that often anymore.
Did a commercial shoot years back for an alarm company where we used 24 or so Tota lights for exterior...
What's with your fanboy attitude and your posts like these????
Yes you are absolutely correct. I zoned!
Was thinking about the 28-85, but picturing the 18mm in my head with that removable hood.
The 28-85mm is a great lens. I used it to shoot car lot drive-bys a couple of weeks ago and the lens flares off the early morning sun was perfect. The only issue I have with the lens is the lack of...
Maybe I'm just too old to understand what type of close-up shot you are trying to accomplish here with the wide lenses on the Full frame camera, as in my nearly 40 years of shooting, a close-up is...
I guess you have a different look in mind than I do. To me, a t2.6 cine zoom is pretty darn fast. And I question the use of shooting FF with wide angle lenses for close-ups so you can see the room,...
Thinking about adding this zoom to my kit. Might be something that could take the place of the handful of cheep primes you are looking at.

Tips for shooting low/no budget... Have fun, and learn as much as you can.
What size?
Now what would be slick, is a rehousing with a changeable mount like the Zeiss CP lenses.
It's odd, I have had this lens for a while now, but never really used it much. The lens, is an old Zeiss Contax 18mm f4, and I got such a kick out of using it the other day on a cooking show mounted...
I think a few folks out there don't realize how expensive it can be to rehouse a set of lenses. I have two different sets I am investigating having done, and it almost makes more sense to find a set...
And there-in lies the problem. This is a multi-use lens set, shooting both video & stills, on a number of different cameras. Yes I know I don't need to have focus confirm chips, but they have worked...
I tried to use my set of Contax glass on my new 5dMkII the other day, and ran into lens check error issues, which I believe are due to the chipped adapters I am using. Of course they have worked...
It has been my experience that businesses who advertise on TV generally do so through an advertising agency, or have a relationship with AEs at TV stations. Cold calling businesses trying to do TV...
Great business to work in?
Let me say that the climate has changed drastically in the world of shooting commercials. Many production companies have closed their doors due to the economy. TV...
Your budget being the limiting factor here, and not knowing your shooting needs, I might suggest a Duclos 11-16mm on the wide end, along with a production zoom like the Cooke 20-100mm. Same basic...
Here are the Mutar spec sheets.

If I can get the chance I will post examples from the 20/2.8 Flek, 18/4 Zeiss, and Tokina 11-16/2.8. I have just been swamped with business lately so it may be a little while.
I own both the 20/2.8 Flek, and the 18/4 Zeiss, and tend to use my 11-16 more often at the wide end.
Your 11-16 should cover full frame at 16mm and will be wider than both the 18mm & 20mm lenses you mentioned.
You should consider a visit to Arkansas. We do an event here every year called The Crescent Classic. It's one of my favorite events to take my Ferrari's to. Big time fun and spectacular road events.
Most of the space lights I have used were Tungsten, setup from 1K - 4K.
I have seen a Flo space light, I think Alzo, online but I have no real world experience with it. But doing my calculations...
Did you have a particular zoom in mind?
