    Couple of things,
Now there is a stream of Red coming to this part of the world, I’m wondering if local Redusers with a camera would be interested showing their camera to others.

Apart from just touching/getting familiar with the camera I think it’d be useful for those about to order, to inspect an assembled camera to see what actually works (for them) and what doesn’t.
Or maybe there could be a few seasoned cameramen out there who want some hands-on time with a Red in return for general cinematography tips/procedures.

Another thing…..as a lot of you know, we assembled an OZ Reduser contact list last year. There are about 30 names on it. It’s also a good way to get in contact with Red owners to hire Red cameras/emergency parts. Are there others who wish to add themselves to the list?

    Red#: 444
    I gotta say this again.

You've got the coolest serial number ever.

Can we switch REDs when mine come home?

Mine would probably be somewhere in the ~N: 4444 vicinity.

    ...

I know, I know.. I just can't help it, I'm a kind of numerology geek.

    It's a bit strange.....

I wanted it for a few reasons...affordability, 35mm pics, engineering etc.
Now I got it, a lot of that is gone out the window and I'm about to have a relationship with something that is gonna take me on a journey!

For all it's blessings, weaknesses, spirit of everyone that has gone into it and the endless discussions about it...they're all kinda left behind as I take the black box out for a spin and discover for the first time what it does...and what it wants to (upgrades)....explore every gift it's got and it's beautiful colours...it's definitely an artist's pallete.....some handycam!!

Taking it for a spin to Bondi Beach & Oxford St tomorrow afternoon/evening.

We'd show ours if it was fully working. It's currently on its way back home for repair :(
