Okay, I need a little help until RED can help (not a big deal, it's really all good).

But I didn't receive the bottom plate/dovetail or the ET ARRI 19mm base plate yet (it's on back order, all good). So, in studio mode the only way I can figure doing ANYTHING is to shoot to the CF card, battery on the belt clip... but this means:

NO FOLLOW FOCUS (I can focus on the lens, fine) OR MATTE BOX/FILTERS

    Any ideas? Anyone?

Maybe I'm just flustered, not thinking straight or something...

BTW - The new finish kicks ass! WOW, love it.

Can you run rods from your top mount and rig the FF gear to connect from above?

    Kinda like this:

Other than that I'm idea-less at the moment.

    Can I just say -

I LOVE THIS CAMERA!!!! THANK YOU JIM! THANK YOU RED TEAM!

The modular design saved my ass today! I haven't yet received my bottom plate or ARRI 19mm base plate but I had to shoot a rugby match today. I had to be handheld. I had to figure this out. And I did.

Thanks to Jim's vision of what a camera should be. Again, thank you Jim.
Here's some pics of the "rig" I configured to go hand held w/o the "correct" parts.

Oh, BTW - THE RED PELICAN RULES!!! Totally worth the money! Love it!
