I curious if anyone is using a Ramdisk (DDR memory allocated as a hard drive) for a scratch disk in CS3 (Premiere/AE) on Windows.
It seems to be a way to utilize more memory in XP32 & XP64.
Are there any advantages and disadvantages?
Thanks.

Not to knock the idea, but what exactly would you be gaining (in Pr)? I can see using it as a disc cache in AE, but Pr can use 3gb of ram in Vista x64 and the new versions of both programs are supposed to be 64 bit. Unless you could make a Ram disc large enough to capture all your media to, I don't think it would help Pr. I'd love to hear someone's report on how it helps Ae though.
