Hey guys, we are around the 600 mark on the waiting list. FYI :)
OH, I almost forgot, we also have Joe Dunton Camera shop around the corner....
Whatsup obin.
I run up and down the east coast, NC to MA all the time. I'm headed down in august actually, but no RED yet. sigh.
Hello, Fellows.
I want to introduce myself to you. I am a picture producer and digital production consultant in Los Angeles. (I also have a home in North Carolina, so here I am.) I am very excited about RED Digital. I have several feature projects that I'm developing that I hope to use the RED workflow to produce and I have several friends that have ordered a RED.
I only recently joined REDUser.net. I wanted to be sure that I was knowledgeable enough about the subject matter before jumping into this with you experts.
I want to let you all know about a web page that I have just put online, The Digital Cinema Information Base.
The first functions on the website are a RED Owners list and a Digital Cinema Crafts list for non-owners. The purpose of the lists is to establish a place where producers like myself can easily find and contact RED owners, users, RED DPs, and other knowledgeable technicians like yourself. I predict that when producers realize the full potential and benefits of using RED, the demand for people like you will be significant. I feel that the lists can be important in assisting and supporting RED production.
Please go to the database at www.rodneyrecor.com/Digital, take a look at what I've begun, and please enter yourself into the database if you like. You will see that several RedUser forum people are already enrolled. As you use the database, I welcome your input and suggestions for how it can be improved or modified to suit users like yourself. Feel free to send me your feedback, comments and criticisms.
Thank you!
Good stuff bro, thanks a lot. I have a full length feature I'm shooting and I'm looking to hire a DP with the Red Camera. the pay will be excellent.
Hey everyone,
we're #455, located right here in ol' Asheville, NC... or as it affectionately known to some, AsheVegas! We're planning on making our RED package available for rental right off the bat. We'll also be making a couple of our camera operators available strictly for RED shoots as well.
Since we've only reserved one RED camera so far, we happen to be looking for possible partnerships with other owners in the area, specifically for shoots requiring more than one camera (of course).
Anyway, wanted to quickly introduce myself and our company. Thanks, and look forward to working with you all in the future!

Red #455 - scheduled for November delivery
Hey Andrew, I am located in Knoxville, but work from Asheville to Nashville, East KY and North GA. What kind of package are you getting? Mine will be available for rent starting Jan-Feb and will have the Pro Package, EVF, LCD, RED drive, CF slot, Batts, and depending when the 18-85 is delivered, either that are a Cooke 18-100.

Matthew,
we're looking at the same type of rig, but we'll likely be going with a set of Zeiss primes.
