  1. #1 4 Pin To Red...
Wow the search function on this site sucks!

I know this has been discussed, so my apologies for not being able to find it...

Anyone know where I can get a 4 PIN to RED plug for battery power?

Just wanting it as a "back up"!

    Thanks.

Pana-Tech can make you one. Also, Anton Bauer now offers such a cable to get power from their Cine-line block batteries to the Red.

How about a 4-pin Lemo cable to 11-pin Fischer so I can power my Microforce?

Apparently the amperage draw from an analog Microforce and Heden motor are too much for the 4-pin Lemo on the rear of the camera (according to the boys at CSC in New York) I think they tried making up a cable for one of the offhollywood cameras and discovered this... Mark any comment?
You might be better off drawing power from the P-Tap connector on the battery. I was also trying to find out if the RS connector on the side of the camera below the EVF ad LCD connectors had a higher amperage rating...
Panatech made me a bunch of VERY nice cables including the traditional 4-pin XLR power cables.
    Cheers,
    Harry

Birns makes these cables as well, RED Lemo to whatever you need. But with the lower draw, you need an old style microforce controller, otherwise you don't get enough power to consistantly control it. (Old style meaning it's more blocky and squared off than rounded like the V+F2_.
