Anyone looking for a straight forward Leica R Red mount will find the C7 adapter to be an outstanding tool. I've owned one for 2-3 years and use it regularly with my R zooms. Keep in mind it does not have 6 bit encoding. Shimmable, positive lock and well built. Worth every penny. I sent mine to Duclos with my lenses to have it evaluated. Passed the test.

Those are nice Roddy. I also picked one up a few years ago and use it with Leica R lenses that haven't yet been adapted to EF mount. Rock solid, and I like how it locks the lens in place.

    Hello people!
Anyone would be interest in modding iris aperture on their lenses?
In the last pic you can see zeiss 50mm f1.4 with new iris next to takumar 50mm f1.4.
Let me know what you think!
    Thank you!

Are there conversions to Leica Rs that can be made that allow for electronic communication to camera through either EF? Or even PL?

No active contacts on EF Mount or PL (using Arri LDS or Cooke /i protocols) available not even on the most expensive rehousing,
because this would require the installation of encoders internally to both rings (focus+aperture) which doesn't come cheap...

Thanks Tommaso, that's a shame but makes sense!
