    Reservations can't be sold.

You can buy the camera and sell it. You could find someone to give you the money for the camera, buy it and then give them the camera. But you can't sell a reservation.

Reservations and camera warranties do not transfer. You have to work out other methods of transaction like joelnet said.

in the 80s people were buying limited edition cars before they were made and selling on the reservations to more enthusiastic buyers with even deeper pockets for crazy amounts. The only way red can try to prevent that is to make these reservations rigidly non-transferrable.

Red has stated on many occasions that the reservation is non-transferable, and your reservation agreement may even have language to that effect... as far as I know, contracts between two parties are transferable to a third party only if both of the original parties agree to it.

In the 17th century Dutch people sold rights to tulips that still had to be planted. For some tulips you could buy yourself a house.

    so here's a thought too...

is the Red that you're considering selling #1407? Because they're currently working on shipping batch 1501-1750.

if it is 1407, you probably need to contact Red and make some sort of arrangements immediately - whether you're going to get your deposit back, keep the camera or resell it after your purchase.

best of luck with it - whatever you end up doing.

What kind of premium are you looking for on top of your cost?
