I did not see them there, very little talk about them.
More talk about the 18 - 85 zoom which is there on display which was very nice i must say.
The primes were in the booth, but not out for close examination.
They are very large.
Good shooting and best regards,

The 300mm lens is in a new housing that is smaller in length.
anybody know the front diameter of the primes? 110mm perhaps?
The 18-85 is big, its 139mm.
I studied the primes as much as possible throught the plexiglass cases. The 35mm 50mm and 85mm were on display.
Pre-production models, just reporting what I saw and heard.
-They are quite large, similar to the cooke s4's, I think they are 110mm in front ?
-Nice Looking matte black finish
-No cooke-i or LDS contacts on the back.
-Plenty of markings, scribed. Nicely Done.
-The lenses are not all the same length the 35mm was quite long, suggesting a complex design.
-Delivery to be Summer 08
-Constuction and "Feel" like the 300mm, which is very good. ( heard this from Jim, did not try )
I have to say I was impressed. I'm leaning so far towards buying a set I keep hitting my head on my computer, It looks like the price performance ratio is hard to beat.
I'd love to take them for a test drive and see what the subjective qualities are like, perhaps do a shoot out against some other modern PL's ?
Anyone at Red up for that ?

PS
The 18-85 looked really good too... It was very well corrected for breathing. Mechanics felt very good, a cool looking anti flare mask on the front.
It's a big lens, possible, but not a good option for hand held shooting.
Only slight problem was a shortage of marks and lack of scribed lines, but I think they'll do that differently on the production ones.
It looks very well made and it's a crazy good value at the price. I would buy one in a second if I did not already have my 18-100 which I think this lens will compete with.
I was so wrong.
My bad i took some pics of them.

Thank you for all pictures ! They tell much !
Thanks for the update and summary of observations, Matt. Specifically, were you able to determine whether there were focus marks on 2 sides? I am also hoping for iris marks, if only on the smart side.
Have any of you at NAB actually handled the primes? Any additional info would be helpful. Thanks.
