I'm going to NAB tomorrow... Can those that braved the show floor on monday help highlight some things to check out? I go to NAB most years and I usually speed read the place, but it's always helpful to do a little recon before hitting the convention center.

I'm a LA Based DP, Red and 35mm camera owner, Here's are the things I'm shopping for / interested in:

Things inside the Red booth go without saying that will likely be my first stop...

1: Sets of PL mount Primes. Anybody spot the Optars, Elites, anything new from Zeiss or Angenieux or ?? Any optics surprises? Are the new Hawk anamorphics there ?
    2: 4x5 Clamp on Mattebox
3: Good and inexpensive remote heads. ( will check in on Mirius, but I really need it underslung ) $5k-20k price range.
4: Red on set data management.
5: HD-SDI based wireless, and Video Assist Solutions, anything better/cheaper than the panasonic p2 deck ?
6: Screen protectors for our Panasonic BT LH-1700w monitors
7: Red finishing, especially FCP centric. Any video cards that crunch r3d's to HD-SDI ?
    8: Other essential Red Hardware

Thanks for your suggestions, If you see me at the show say Hi!

Yeah you're probably right. Is the 7 inch shown working or safe from the great unwashed behind bulletproof plexiglass ? Did they finally make that sucker out of metal ? I guess I'll find out soon enough.

It's working, it's metal, you can get your hands on it.

Glad they are skipping the plastic - It did not seem to be holding up all that well on some of the 5.6 LCD's
