Sorry Marcos, not anytime soon. I am not really a developer, just a camera person fooling around with Xcode :-)
I do not use windows myself so not much chance to see the app ported anytime soon. Else I'd have to give up my day job and my soul to the dark side.

OTOH I will port part of it on iOS devices pretty soon.

Funny anecdote : a good friend friend of mine who switched to PCs few years ago is now buying a new MacBook Air 11 with a thunderbolt video IN just to be able to use foolcontrol... I kinda finally managed to get him back on Mac :-)
BTW, altho a larger screen is better to keep all the windows of foolcontrol opened, the main window was designed to fit nicely on a 11" screen. I sometimes use such a machine to copy footage when traveling 'super light'.

Got several people asking about how to make a direct wired connection between the camera and foolcontrol using only the GIG-E cable (with no router, no wifi).

Might as well post the info here for anyone who needs it...

On camera : MENU > SETTINGS > SETUP > COMMUNICATION > ETHERNET TAB
    uncheck 'ENABLE DHCP' box
    SET IP ADDRESS TO 192.168.0.1
    SET NETMASK TO 255.255.255.0
SET GATEWAY TO : 192.168.0.1 (same value as the IP address as the camera will act as the gateway)
    check 'ENABLE EXTERNAL CONTROL'

On computer : SYSTEM PREFS > NETWORK > ETHERNET
    CONFIGURE IPv4 > MANUALLY
    IP ADDRESS : 192.168.0.2
    Mask : 255.255.255.0
    Router : 192.168.0.1
    Apply

Should be all good and you'll get a fast connection able to run foolcontrol anywhere.
Feel free to ask if you have any problem connecting this way or thru a router or if you need help connecting REDLINK bridge in AdHoc mode or to an existing network.

New update 0.96 of foolcontrol is out.

Advanced manual focus control with direct access to lens motor’s microsteps for smoother and more accurate focusing at any distance using user interface slider, keyboard or USB device.
New 'Manual' AF mode with red slider bypasses the other modes’ limitation of 1 cm minimal focusing step.

Can now store up to 13 focus memory points and recall them with a single click or single keystroke.

Check the screencast demo below for a quick tour of the new features (much better watched full screen from vimeo)

    http://vimeo.com/foolcolor/foolcontrol03

On latest camera beta FW this feature is enabled with REDLINK Bridge module but not yet using GIG-E cable.

Also fixed some key shortcuts issues with non US keyboards.

Try the demo version or get more info -> foolcolor.net

    Mikael,
Can that Gig-E cable be extended to 60' without any connection issues?

Steve, never tested to just extend the cable on a "long distance" but I see no reason why I wouldn't work.

I often control the camera (while developing) from the other side of the house or even did much further than that thru the internet with no issues... but all this is thru routers and I am not a network / cable expert but I'm quite sure it will work on such a distance...

I assume it can be plugged into a switch or hub and be connected at very long lengths.

I'm thinking long jibs or Ultimate Arm applications. 60' is what the Ultimate Arm needs, although using a laptop inside the vehicle might be clumsy. A jib though would be fine.

yep thru routeurs and switches you could go very far. Make sur the first one connected to the camera can negotiate at gigabyte speed.

Steve, ethernet should have no problem with such a distance I think.
