I hear lots of people looking to improve the Scarlet. If the Scarlet grows (in features) to be more like it's bigger brother (RED ONE), do you think people will be inclined to pay $14,000 more for a camera with a 1K improvement in picture?

By the same token, if the RED ONE grows to be more like it's bigger Sister Epic, do you think people will be inclined to pay $22,000.00 more for a camera with a 1K improvement in picture along with some additional features?

It is possible that each camera's features will stay very similar to what we see today or improve in a way that keeps each camera in a league of their own. Anything other than that may cause the middle brother (RED ONE) to get less attention.

Let's keep the Middle brother a Rockstar.

I think Jim knows how to keep his own product line from competing against one other. People can plead all they want, but I wouldn't worry about Jim allowing the red one to commit suicide already. I'm not saying I'm against the whole customer feedback thing because that is what red is really all about. There are just a few posters wishing for things that seem quite unrealistic. Jim and the red team have thought out a great camera so far and it will probably have many changes being made throughout the course of the year. I'm starting to think that the scarlet is becoming more revolutionary or at least as revolutionary as the red one.

Just because they released new technology doesn't mean your red one isn't a rockstar. Besides, red one is going to get a sensor upgrade. Probably one of those "x" sensors(whatever that means).

3 months was enough of a scarlet tease, but now we have a whole year of anxiousness. People are posting like crazy. Save the posts, we will need them during the the "slow" season!

    Don't . . . encourage . . . manufacturers . . . to have . . . artificial . . . barriers.
