I am reading some are exporting Pro Res files out of Red Alert?
Are you talking about the Proxies or full debayered Pro Res files?
If you are talking about full debayer, then break it down for me...please

I think you have to create a look in RedAlert and then either make new proxies and transcode in Compressor....or use the new Log and Transfer function to apply these looks to the clips to make your ProRes files....unless there is something i don't know about....

Press the big RENDER button, select quicktime and Apple ProRes 422 (HQ)

  7. #7 Our QT files got larger in the render.?
We tried what you suggested. The problem we are having is that the rendered qt file is 6 GB larger than the original RED file. Do you know why this could be? We had all the settings the same as you listed.

Make sure you select the SCALE box and input a size (ie. 1920x1080) and select to fit height or width, if you don't do this you are creating a ProRes file that is the same size as your source file (ie. 4K if that is what you shot) which could easily be bigger than your source file when rendered and would not be usable in FCP.

This does not work with B16. REDalert chrashes allmost every time the render ends. If it does not the file is empty????? I should be able to play it in QT player right?
