Graeme has been fine tuning the color science and is ready for you to take DRAGONcolor2 and REDcolor4 for a spin. Rob has put together a RCX for you to test with, as well as included Apple and Adobe updates to support the new color science. Links at the end of this post. Camera builds will follow.

The new color science focuses on a few things but alot of attention was spent making improvements deep in the blue channel which not only helps "normal" shooting situations but also improves things considerably for our underwater bubble blowers, which we also have sample filters fresh out of the oven and Sean has begun to test. I expect these H20 OLPFs to come out around the same time as the MiddleMan OLPF. Gates is going to have some early samples of the swappable H20 OLPFs so if you want to test those out hit those guys up.

    very cool!

Most people don't like a middleman, but I think a lot of people are going to love this guy!

I wish we heard more details about not just what situations these various OLPF's are for, but how so (ie what they change). I think this whole interchangeable OLPF strategy is very interesting!

    Thanks Trevor!

I've also got to say thanks to all the red users who send me footage to test and play with, and to all the great feedback I receive.

There he is, the man, the cook of RED himself.

You know Graeme, it amazes me how this "science" all comes down to you tweaking it. You are very valuable indeed sir. Thank you for your work.
