Thanks Red team for the $2,500.00 reservation bonus.

Red has so many cool toys.

If I wanted to shoot in 1080p, what is the most cost effective way to get started?

    Red ONE camera body.

RED One Power Pack (could I use my existing battery belt?)
Monitor options (Is the little screen on the back of RED a monitor? Can I use standard XVGA or S-video?)

That screen on the back is not a monitor. No analog outputs, digital only. So you will need your own digital monitor or the one Red offers.

This thread really belongs in the "RED ONE" forum.
And the subject has already been discussed in a few threads, like this: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1057
