So in the spirit of RedRelay (footage) and RedHax (technical info), there now exists a global database for Red owners to create a profile listing their gear, location, etc. - including a gallery of their shot-on-Red images. Producers/clients can search this database, in order to find owners/shooters in their area, without having to crawl the forums post by post. Plus, it's a splashy way to look at cool images. The site is here:
UPDATE 9/13/2013: Here's the text of the email I just sent out. The site, sadly, is no more. Thanks to everyone who participated.
To all users of RedConnector.com:
Sadly, I'm going to have to shut the site down, effective this Sunday 9/13. I received an email from Red asking me to take the site down due to the use of the word "Red" in the name. Which is understandable, given the "defend it or lose it" nature of Trademark law in the U.S. (Though they also expected me to sign over the domain name, which I felt was a little heavy-handed.)
Thanks to everyone who used the site, and I hope you found it a useful tool. RedConnector was one of the first "community" sites set up back in 2007, shortly after the original Red Ones started shipping. I think few, if any, have lasted this long.
With the explosion in Red gear & accessories, I haven't been able to maintain the site recently in any case, so this is an opportune time to close it down. If you've got any info/images that you need for your personal use, please grab them by Sunday night (New York time).
And if you're ever in need of a Red camera in NYC, give me a shout at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
