Does anyone have a clue what the IMS mount for the RED will or does cost?

hmm.. at that price id rather wait for a canon mount then get a contax adapter. besides which, RED might reject it when returning for credit for the epic. ?

Thats my concern too, i´d rather struggle a bit for a year with the original mount (which shouldn´t be that bad at all) and have the option to trade in for an Epic Camera

Well, you could just take off the IMS mount and replace it with the original Red PL mount — just like with the Nikon mount.

So that should not be a point of worries.

Just opens up a whole world of possibilities.

i remember they lowered the price or want to, because they want to change how the mount swap takes place...more like swap the mount by yourself and
pay around 800 €...best would be to contact them.

I ordered the set last week, 680 euros for the ims mount, 205 for the PL mount and 480 for the professional Nikon F mount (which does not have the play like the normal mount has. All other mounts are in the range of 250-300 euros each, so a good deal.(Anyone interested in my surplus RED-nikon Mount ? I will sell it as soon as the IMS arrives (half july). Only some test images shot)
