i am not sure if this is compatible as a Red Flash???

for times where discretion is paramount, a stripped down Red (with flash) to its bare minimum will record - 55 minutes downscaled @ 720p 25fps with audio for only $600! thats way more affordable compared to P2 media with HVX.

I can't comment about this specific flash device Akcelik, but it is one of the critical design parmeters of the RED_ONE camera that we can expolit the latest and greatest developments in storage technologies as they become available.

Unlike a traditional camcorder, RED is not locked into either a tape format or physical cartridge format. Although HDCAM tapes and P2 cards each have their advantages, they also have undesirable image quality and capacity limitations too.

ok.. in my situation i feel if the camera gets too big it might change the dynamics of my outcome.

also 720p downscaled from Red will look much better than 1080p native shooting (if im not mistaken).

Well... 720p scaled will look worse than 1080p native... it's only 720p no matter how you cut it. What you probably meant was 720p scaled will look sharper than 720p native.

    thanks Brooke!

i left out the comparison with HVX200's 1/3 sensor 1080p native compared to 720p of Red's 35mm sensor.

just looking into all options and how they fit.
