My name is Juan Elgueta, from Chile, and I just recieved my red one camera serial number 4086. Basically I´m writing to you cause I need your advice regarding the search for :
A tripode
Prime lenses.
Mattebox
focus puller
filters
Portection bag for the camera
With the camera I bought a 50 -150 mm red lens and the 300 mm lens plus all the accesories needed to assemble the camera.
I´m planning to go to California in about two more weeks and I´m looking for the best places to find this products. Can you tell me which are my best options for stores.
Also regarding prime lenses I´m thinking on getting one red cooke lens , a wide lens, but maybe for the same money I can get three used lenses. But I´m worry about if the images I´m going to get qith the used lenses will match with the ones I´ll get with the red lenses that I already have. So please if you can give me a hand it will be great for me. Whe have a post production company in Chile (
www.imaginachile.com) and we are very excited to start working with red and smoke. We have done a great effort to make this posible so any tip you can give me would be great.
Finally , I have contacted some production companies near L.A. to see if there is a chance to go and talk with people that has been working with red. And in this line for me it would be incredible if you could give me a little time to talk to you , either by phone or personally , during my trip.
