this is what i see when i look at the topic of this thread...a mistake in the matrix
red is not a color, it's a camera.

The IR cut should always come first, not last. This is because IR will go through all of your NDs and bounce back from IR cut filter causing flare and reflections in IR spectrum. You don't want that.
Also B+W IR affects colour, causing green cast on wide angles at the edges.

    Get Pancro filters. Beautiful

but i dont know how it effects the picture when putting 2 ir filters into the MB.
or if a combo of a regular .3 + ir1.5 affects the picture drastically

    evin?
Because we had the $ to do so. I noticed that Evin also bought down to .6 and so i thought might as well grab the .3 that also has IR protection and then have a full set of Pancro's. I'm not gonna stack em either.

Are you suggesting an in-camera IR filter? Does the RED One have the facility to handle behind-the-lens filters? Or are you talking about filters for the matte box?

    Evin and team,

I wanted to say thank you for doing this test and experiment. I was shooting some stuff in my house the other day using tungsten lighting and I could really see the IR effect that you guys demonstrated. I am on my way to order the Pancros. Thank you again for spending the time and helping us.

    Great reviewl

The Pancro web site is well made for ordering the filters... but how do you order the Tiffen and Rosco hot mirror (4x5.6) since they only show their circular one on their web site?

    thanks
