I've succsefully tested our proto type "VIEW-BOX", that will turn your LCD into a low-cost EVF! We're aiming at a 500-700$ price range. How low we can keep cost depends heavly on our production method and the quality lenses we will use. So I'd like to evaluate how strong interest is.

Pictures will follow in a week or two. What it does, is snap on to your RED LCD. You can then look into it just like a EFV.

Sorry to ask you... but don't you think you are loosing your time for a work around that will be obsolete in short time?

Is there any benefit of it use over a regular EVF?
    Else than availability?...

    Thanks Brian.

Well, most people are forced to work with the LCD for focusing and framing at the moment and for the last few months. The LCD is really very sharp and provides a reasonable image. With the "view-box" you can close focus on the screen and use it like a EFV in bright light conditions. And the real EFV is 2500.- more and much heavier. So I think there is a market....

We can't say we want one if the only description is that it's a box that makes it like a viewfinder. I have to say, for $500 it better be something useful.

Damm, thought I could sell these 50 cent carboard boxes for 500$ and become a millionare - dream over:waaa:

Serious - of course the "View Box" is not just a box (well, the proto type is, that's why I'm not showing it yet ). Simply said, the "View Box" is a professional EVF without the electronics - because your RED LCD has all that. A EVF is basically just a tiny LCD with a lens between your eye and the LCD, so you can focus on the screen - that's it.
