Just got a new 30" cinema display for my Mac Pro. Now my Red Cine render times have quadrupled.
Does the type or size of monitor effect render times?

It's my understanding that the frame buffer required to run that resolution is going to eat into the memory available on your GPU. Seeing as RedCine utilises the GPU, it makes sense that having lens memory available will hinder performance.
A manual on how to use RedCine properly would help a great deal - even without an upgrade. If the preview settings effect the speed of the output, which I understand to be the case, details from the software developer would be greatly appreciated.
Nick.
minimize the display resolution in redcine as you render and see what happens.
A 30" display should not quadruple your render time. The viewing quality however, does greatly effect render time. I always set the viewing quality to 'show: 1/4 res medium.' If you inadvertently set this or left this to 'full' when you hit render, it will greatly increase render times. Might not hurt to scale down the image as well. I keep no bigger than need be to keep track of the render progress.
Something has changed... I rendered this same sequence with a 20" monitor in 4 hours... now it is taking 16 hours.
