    Hi.

I've been running Dragon on Beta Firmware v6.2.9 without the side handle and without issue. Last night I installed the side handle, fired up the camera and was notified that the side handle firmware had been successfully updated. A few minutes later I noticed the camera was running hot, so I tried changing fan settings from adaptive to manual and everything in between with no effect.

I then decided to reinstall/upgrade firmware to Beta v6.2.25, fired up the camera and got this message on the LCD: "New fan available, please contact RED". Next I installed Release Firmware v6.0.44 and got the same message.

Anyone have any idea what is going on? Is this perhaps a firmware glitch from adding the side handle or just a coincidence and the fan really has failed.

    Thanks!

Did both fan fail? Front and top? Do you have the front fan V1 or V2?

Looks like top fan is working but front fan is not. I believe it's V2. How can you tell?

If it's disconnected it's easy to replug the connector.

Unscrew the two front screws and take the front grill off, you will see if it's unconnected.

Front fan V1 (wich has a better soud print IMHO) doesn't protrude from the camera body design.

Fan was disconnected. Works fine now. Thanks for the suggestion!

Unfortunately the Canon Ti mount has stopped passing information between lens and camera. On the LCD the exposure shows N/A. I've tried several lenses with no luck. I did remove the Canon lens mount so I could remove the v2 fan cover but there were no issues. Everything was covered and protected, no parts or pieces fell on or even touched the contacts. Any ideas about that? I suppose a reset button would be to easy a solution but one can hope.
