I'm strongly guessing 6:1 8k 24fps will be the lowest compression possible for 8k motion capture, and that 8:1 will be the cap at 30fps.
I really like the frame rates at the original Epic (Thoe I still think its sad that its 4frames off with its 96 fps in 5k and 5frames of in 4k with its 120fps. To close!) But it seams even with a weapon you have to go down to 4k to get 120fps? I know its alot of data shuffle around but in terms slomo I think the fov to framerate ratio is better in the Epic Mx. For the rest, Im sure weapon running circles around mx.
You can do slow motion in davinci correct? and does the Epic-W also do 8K 24 fps? because i read some article saying that 8K will only be 30fps.
If it can do 30fps it will also do 24 fps
The Epic-MX has so many features, I wonder if the Epic-W or helium will match or go in another direction.
overr 450 pages on the Epic - W in the main threat, OMG im dying...
Can anybody point out the most important points, like specs of the Epic W especially frame rates / Compression in different resolutions.
I´m on the trigger for Tuesday but would love to have some more insight about the Epic-W specs.
thanks
all we know so far is EPIC-W will be s35 8k. will shoot at least 30FPS at 8k 9:1, 4k prores simultaneously. will have the spec sheet in front of us on the 11th.
This has probably been asked already, but if I were to place an order for Scarlet W BEFORE the 11th, would I then be able to transfer that over to Epic W and be eligible for the upgrade discount? Or is the cat out of the bag and I missed my chance?
seems like you still have time. pretty hard to say how many people are going with this strategy, and how many units red will allow for this deal. definitely worth a shot.
