    Howdy from Texas,

Looking for suggestions as to an appropriate hardshell case to fit an R1 MX camera head only. Nothing else going in except possibly the AC power adapter and power cables.

I'm getting ready to sell mine and I prefer to ship the camera head separately from the rest of the package. Thanks in advance,

    CH

I use the 1550 pelican case, I can put the camera body, ac adapter and monitor.
Wow you have the R1 #11, a while ago Jim offered a significant amount of money for low serial numbers like yours.

    You mean this one? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...with_Foam.html

    Looks perfect. Thanks!

Yes, may you can find another a little smaller that can still fit.

I think it was just a Jim opinion:

It just needs to be 16" x 6" x 9" on the inside so now I'm thinking Pelican 1500.

I have the original system case, the Pelican 1620, from a time before RED added their own branding to it. But, over the years it has lost an upper layer of foam which I'm not sure is replaceable. That case and all that's in it can be shipped by ground, but I prefer to ship cameras by next-day air. The less time they spend in transit, the less likely they'll get damaged. That's why I'm looking for a camera head case.

Mine is definitely a low S/N however it has the MX sensor upgrade so it's no longer an "original" RED One. My S/N plate changed from #0011 to #0011x and I'm sure that subtracts from any "collectible" value. See http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthr...l=1#post561656 for details about this. And, due to an oversight by the people who managed this camera for me, the original packaging is long gone. That affects value as well.

The super-low S/N might possibly drive some bidding on Ebay. I hope.

They say your favorite child is the one you beat the least. Mine is scuffed and slapped around just a little a bit... still beloved though.
